As the highest organ for political decision-making, the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament provides information on its tasks, current topics, members of parliament and the work of committees and bodies on its website https://landtag-rlp.de/ . The central news system provides current news on the homepage, which is also displayed on an overview page and via corresponding categories on subpages of committees and bodies.

Calendar with filters and subscription function

The flexible appointment application allows the maintenance of simple appointments, regular appointment series and multi-day appointments with freely configurable event days. The appointments are displayed on different applications, for example on the homepage and on the pages of committees and boards. A monthly calendar offers extensive filtering options and a practical subscription function with which selected appointment series can be transferred to a personal calendar (e.g. in Outlook, Apple Calendar, Google Calendar). Changes in the appointment application result in the appointments in the personal calendar being updated.

administration for MP profiles

One highlight is the new administration of members of parliament in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament. In the customized backend within the CONTENS CMS, all essential information about the elected members of parliament can be recorded in a clear and structured manner. The member profiles are displayed using the new member search with an alphabetical index, various filters and a full-text search. In addition, the names of the members of parliament and their respective roles are listed on the pages of committees and bodies (e.g. budget and finance committee ). The respective member profile is immediately available with just one click.

Responsive and barrier-free

The online offering of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament is designed as a responsive website and is largely barrier-free. In addition to optimized font sizes, line lengths, spacing and contrast, the pages can be easily navigated using the keyboard to ensure access is as simple as possible. In addition to the main page, the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament also operates a youth page that is aimed at children, young people and teachers with specially prepared content about politics and democracy.

The conception, design and technical implementation of the project was carried out by the Professional Services department of CONTENS in close cooperation with the online experts of the administration of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament.
